Women's Dinner 2024

The Committee is pleased to announce that on 16 July 2024 at 6:30pm the Society will be hosting its annual Women's Dinner at Lotus Restaurant, The Galeries, Sydney. 

Our special guests this year are:

  • The Hon. Michelle Rowland MP (Minister for Communications); and
  • Kylie Nomchong SC (Barrister, PG Hely Chambers).

Join members and supporters for an intimate dinner and discussion with these exceptional talents, who have broken boundaries in politics and the law.

The Women's Dinner is a female only event.

Leading Lawyer Tickets (Former Judicial Officers, Senior Counsel, Partners, General Counsel and Senior Lawyers): $160

Senior Lawyer (Special Counsel, Senior Associates, Junior Counsel, Executive Lawyers and Retired Lawyers): $140

Junior Ticket (Associates, Lawyers, Law Graduates, CLC Lawyers, Industrial Officers and Union Lawyers): $110

Emerging Ticket (Paralegals, Students and Law Clerks): $80

Tickets must be purchased using the form below prior to the event. Tickets cover a banquet meal and drinks at the venue. Places at this dinner are limited so make sure you register online as soon as possible.

About the Speakers

The Hon. Michelle Rowland MP is Minister for Communications and the Member for Greenway. She was first elected to Federal Parliament in 2010. She has also served as Shadow Minister for Communications, Shadow Minister for Small Business and Shadow Minister for Citizenship and Multiculturalism. Prior to her election to Parliament, Minister Rowland worked as a senior lawyer specialising in telecommunications at Gilbert + Tobin. She holds a BA (Hons), LLB and LLM from the University of Sydney.

Kylie Nomchong SC graduated with an LL.B and B.Econ (Hons) from the University of Sydney. She worked as a tutor and part-time lecturer in the Department of Industrial Relations at the University of Sydney before commencing employment as a solicitor practicing in industrial law and personal injury. Kylie was then appointed as in-house solicitor for Actors' Equity of Australia which later became the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA). During that time she established her practice in industrial law and employment law. Kylie came to the Bar in 1997 and was appointed Senior Counsel in 2012.  Her practice is in employment and industrial law, workplace health and safety prosecutions, inquests and commission, personal injury and medical negligence.  She is an expert in discrimination law.
