Recent stories concerning systemic underpayment of wages have led to a call for a royal commission to address the problem. Can a case be taken against the director, the manager or the adviser, or the franchisor, who established the systemic underpayment system? How can the accessorial liability provisions of the Fair Work Act be used to pin responsibility on those involved in the contravention, and what orders can be sought against them.
