Women's Dinner with Susan Ryan AO

"Twenty years on none of this seems remarkable. At the time, the politics surrounding the bill were explosive. From the first legislative step, the ratification of the UN convention, the initiative met with sustained, vociferous and irrational opposition from powerful sectors of the community." - Susan Ryan on the introduction of the Sex Discrimination Act

As the first event for 2017 and to celebrate International Women's Day, NSW Labor Lawyers will host a dinner with former Senator for the ACT, Minister for Women, and Age Discrimination Commissioner Susan Ryan AO. Susan Ryan was the first female Labor minister and was responsible for, amongst many other great things, the introduction of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth).

The dinner will be held at 7:00pm on 8 March at Arthouse Hotel Attic Bar. Tickets are $50 per person. If you would like to attend, please fill in the payment form below.

Please note that the dinner is exclusively for women, and places are strictly limited to 25 seats.
