Briefing Session with the New Shadow Attorney-General

When: 31 August 2021, 6pm-8pm
Where: Online via Zoom
The NSW Society of Labor Lawyers is pleased to invite members and supporters to attend a briefing session with the newly appointed NSW Labor Shadow Attorney-General, Michael Daley MP.
Mr Daley was appointed Shadow Attorney-General on 12 June 2021 and was the Leader of the Opposition in NSW between November 2018 and March 2019. In the former Labor Government, Mr Daley held various ministerial roles, including as Minister for Finance, Police and Roads. Prior to entering NSW Parliament, Mr Daley was a practicing solicitor in private and corporate practice for nearly a decade.
In his role as Shadow Attorney-General, Mr Daley will be responsible for holding the NSW Government to account on key law reform issues. Mr Daley will be discussing his vision for the portfolio, some of the law reform issues that NSW Labor will be pursuing in the lead up to the 2023 State Election, and the key legal battlegrounds. We are looking forward to hearing from the new Shadow Attorney-General on his vision for the role if NSW Labor enters government in March 2023.
Participants are encouraged to lodge questions prior to the event. Questions for the Shadow Attorney-General can be sent to [email protected]
Due to current NSW Government public health orders, this event will be hosted online on Zoom. Details to join the webinar will be provided upon registration. Registration is essential using the form below.
