Comparisons have been made between the scale of litigation in the 70s and 80s following revelations about the danger of asbestos and the scale of institutional abuse litigation following the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

The Seminar will be presented by Roop Sandhu and Hayden Stephens from Slater + Gordon Lawyers who have run large abuse cases.  

The Seminar will cover the history, present and future of abuse claims, developments relating to: limitation periods, stays, reopening, vicarious liability and corporate identity of religious defendants, and law reform arising from the Royal Commission.
