The NSW Society of Labor Lawyers' annual CLE program will be commencing in March. As with previous years, we're excited to bring you a range of topics and speakers
Our first seminar will see industrial advocates presenting on the rise of applications to terminate enterprise bargaining agreements - a strategy increasingly adopted by defendants to circumnavigate their obligations in the workplace. What strategies are being adopted? What arguments justify a right to terminate? And how can unions, industrial advocates and employment lawyers counter an application?
We'll be joined by three experienced advocates who will be presenting on the law and practice of terminating agreements: Lucy Saunders, Barrister at Greenway Chambers; Stephen Crawford, Senior National Legal Officer at the Australian Workers Union, who ran the Alcoa and BP termination applications to the Fair Work Commission; and Adam Walkaden, National Legal Officer at the CFMMEU Mining & Energy Division.
This is a FREE event but donations to the Society are welcome to cover event costs.
If this educational activity is relevant to your immediate or long-term needs in relation to your professional development and practice of the law, then you can claim one point per hour of formal presentation (1 Substantive Law CPD Point).
