Journalist and author David Marr, in conversation with maritime law experts, Dr Tim Stephens and Assoc. Professor David Letts

 

David Marr is a journalist, author and progressive political commentator. He writes for publications including The Monthly and The Guardian and is a regular panellist on ABC news programs. David is co-author (with Marian Wilkinson) of the book Dark Victory, which gives an account of the Australian Government’s handling of the Tampa incident and the “Children Overboard” affair.   

Dr Tim Stephens is an international lawyer and Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law at Sydney University. He has published widely on issues of public international law, national and international environmental law and the law of the sea.

David Letts is an Associate Professor and Co-Director of the Centre for Military and Security Law at the Australian National University. David joined ANU after a career in the Royal Australian Navy of more than thirty years, including a period as Fleet Legal Officer
